Product & Process Development Zeolite Scientist Pacific Industrial Development - 2.0 Ann Arbor, MI Job Details Full-time 1 day ago Qualifications Chemical Engineering Chemistry research New product development Engineering Doctor of Philosophy Master of Science Chemistry Doctoral degree in chemical engineering Senior level Research & development Chemical engineering Full Job Description The Product Development Zeolite Scientist will be expected to lead zeolite efforts in the product and process development group including directing research, contributing to pilot and production scale-up effort, and assisting with functional and catalytic testing of zeolite based and other inorganic material.
Job Duties Zeolite Synthesis:
Work with other synthetic chemists and lead P&PD zeolite efforts to complete active projects and new projects as they arrive.
Zeolite & Catalyst Characterization:
Contribute to the development and implementation of new characterization techniques for zeolite, catalysts, and other materials.
Process Scale-Up:
Work with process engineers at PIDC's various production sites to aid in the successful scale-up of completed lab projects
Sales & Customer Interaction:
Work directly with the PIDC sales team and customers to understand material requirements to enable successful development Requirements for Job Ph.D in inorganic chemistry, chemical engineering, or a closely related field with a strong background in the synthesis and applications of zeolites, or M.S. with the same background and several years of industrial experience Strong interpersonal skills as needed for interactions with other P&PD employees, analytical techs, sales team members, management and customers.
