Job Description
We are working directly with a great team in New Troy, MI to assist them in finding the right candidate for their Process Engineer opportunity. This is a direct Hire opportunity with an annual salary in the $85,000-$100,000 range. The Process Engineer role will optimize manufacturing processes and support efficient production operations. This role combines skills in Lean manufacturing, CNC programming, and process improvement to enhance quality, productivity, and workflow. The Process Engineer will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to develop innovative solutions, train operators, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. Key Responsibilities Read and interpret blueprints and design specifications. Partner with Quality to ensure compliance with engineering requirements. Select and build tools, set up machinery, and support CNC operations. Program and modify G & M code for CNC mills; macro programming experience a plus. Train and support operators to maintain quality and production standards. Generate and implement process improvement ideas in collaboration with engineering and management teams. Review tooling performance and recommend improvements to extend tool life and enhance part quality. Analyze SPC data with Quality and Production teams to make data-driven improvement decisions. Contribute to continuous improvement and Lean manufacturing initiatives. Qualifications 3-5 years of CNC mill setup experience. Strong G & M coding skills, with proven programming experience on Fanuc controls. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, including GD&T. Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Strong teamwork and communication skills. High School Diploma or GED required; advanced technical training or certifications a plus. Willingness to work overtime as needed. Preferred Skills (Nice to Have): Experience with Mori Seiki CNC controls. Ability to program and maintain Fanuc robots. Knowledge of Zoller tool presetters. Familiarity with
ISO 9000 / TS
standards. Work Environment & Physical Requirements Frequent walking, standing, bending, reaching, and lifting up to 50 lbs. Hands-on role with regular time spent on the shop floor. Ability to work safely around machinery, moving equipment, and varying environmental conditions (noise, temperature changes, dust, etc.).
