Job Description

As an Intern at WM you become part of a company that is: 100% employee-owned company with 40+ years of industry history A Top 5 Systems Integrator Giant AN ENR top 500 firm We have a Controls Engineer Internship available in Trenton, NJ. This position entails developing
PLC/SCADA/HMI
programming skills through process automation and controls projects. The intern will be exposed to industrial software applications (industrial standard S88), GMP and GAMP5, read and understand P&IDs, high-level project management, and system integration (PLC/hardware, IT, etc). Major Responsibilities Design, develop, and implement control system logic software to meet process, machine, and integrated system requirements Develop control logic software and user interface applications Assist with debugging integrated systems and the development of system documentation Work on automation and control system integration projects for clients in pharma/biotech Adheres to scope, quality, schedule, and budget requirements of assigned tasks Develops collaborative partnerships with colleagues Minimum Requirements Education BS Electrical Engineering, BS Chemical Engineering, BS Mechanical Engineering, or BS Computer Engineering is preferred. Experience Undergraduate with an interest in pursuing a career in Controls Engineering. Not required but preference given to candidates with an understanding of or exposure to control systems - components, programming, and their applications Not required but reference is given to candidates with an understanding of or exposure to instrumentation and controls design Physical Demands of Position Writing, computer work, variable travel amounts, fieldwork in industrial settings, seeing, color perception, hearing, clear speech, dexterity in hands, driving, lifting, climbing, and ability to mount and dismount equipment, pushing, and pulling. Working Environment Standard office environment, On-site office environment, and diverse industrial environments. Frequent PC usage, fax machines, copy machines, phones. Salary Range Hourly pay rate of $25/hour.
