Job Description

Join our dynamic Engineering team as an Engineering Intern! Reichert Technologies (AMETEK) believes in developing its future leaders from within. We are a global medical device manufacturer specializing in ophthalmic and analytical instrumentation. Our mission is to advance eye care and preserve sight through differentiated technology solutions. As an Engineering Intern, you will be part of a select group of students who receive personalized mentorship and hands-on engineering experience. You will gain exposure across multiple engineering disciplines and contribute to meaningful technical and business initiatives.
Examples of Developmental Assignments:
Design new device fixtures or evaluate existing products, processes, and systems. Support operational and process-improvement initiatives impacting key performance indicators. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Marketing, Sales, R D, and Operations. Assist with prototype builds, testing, documentation updates, and technical investigations.
Successful Candidates Should Possess:
Enrollment in a 4-year engineering bachelor's program. Strong desire to pursue an engineering career. Basic knowledge of CAD tools (Creo Parametric, SolidWorks, or equivalent). Ability to translate academic knowledge into practical application. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Prior internship, co-op, or technical project experience preferred, but not required. Unrestricted U.S. work authorization.
Preferred Experience & Projects:
Hands-on engineering, academic, personal, or club-based projects. Experience building prototypes, designing systems, or automation tools. Leadership in engineering clubs or technical organizations. Prior work experience demonstrating initiative and responsibility.
