Job Description

As a Chemical Process Engineer Intern, you would be supporting the Kodak Specialty Chemicals Team in the Applied Materials and Chemicals Division in Rochester, NY. Our Intern positions are open to students enrolled in an accredited program during the Internship.

There are several job responsibilities that you would have in supporting our process and equipment engineering team.
Activities and Scope of Work Include:
Assistance in troubleshooting manufacturing issues Analyzing process data Recommending equipment and process upgrades Participating in the design and implementation of projects for reliability and quality improvements Working with the engineering team to scope out existing equipment for the purposes of updating process drawings and clarifying equipment specifications The individual will need to have an engineering background to be able to solve fluid flow problems (for fluid delivery and coating), as well as having an aptitude for interpreting and analyzing data for recommendations changes. The individual will need to be able to possess analytical skills, mechanical skills, and teamwork skills to be able to accomplish the continuous improvement projects and activities. The individual would also work with operations, skilled trades, and engineers to document standard work for the equipment (lock-out procedures, predictive and preventative maintenance tasks, verification procedures) This intern should have sound mathematical and computer skills (particularly MS Office) in addition to mechanical skills.

This position will be a hands-on working position in a combination of environments, including both internal and external to the production buildings, and occasionally supporting areas working in reduced lighting area.
