Job Description:

Microchip Technology is looking for a qualified Senior I Process Engineer working the day shift who will sustain and improve Fab-4 Thin Films/Chemical Mechanical Polishing processes. Perform tests to improve yield and reliability, qualify new processes/equipment, improve cycle time, and reduce cost Analyze, summarize and communicate test results Support critical quality systems: PFMEA, SPC, MPSP, MSA, and Sustaining Change Control Troubleshoot equipment and process problems Rework and disposition non-conforming product lots Write process specifications and reports Support Production as required Knowledge of basic statistics is preferred

Requirements/Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree - Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Physics, Material Science, or related discipline 5-6 years of experience in Semiconductor

CVD/PVD/CMP

process engineering Proficiency in written and oral communication Ability to multi-task while paying close attention to detail Strong interpersonal and troubleshooting skills Initiative to work independently and keep projects on schedule Proven reliability with excellent attendance and punctuality a must Preferred Qualifications Strong background in chemistry Semiconductor technology and/or manufacturing experience Special Requirements Must work on site 5 days a week during standard first shift hours (Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM-4:30 PM or similar). Flexible work schedule for occasional training and project support This is classified as a safety senstive role.
