In this role, you will oversee the daily operations of injection molding processes, ensuring high-quality production, safety compliance, and efficient workflow. Your leadership will drive continuous improvement initiatives, maintain equipment performance, and foster a collaborative environment focused on excellence in plastics injection molding. This position offers an exciting opportunity to influence manufacturing quality and operational efficiency in a fast-paced, innovative setting. Duties Supervise and coordinate all activities related to plastics injection molding operations, including setup, operation, and troubleshooting of molding machines Monitor production schedules to meet quality standards and delivery deadlines while minimizing waste and downtime Conduct quality inspections using precision measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers to ensure products meet specifications Implement lean manufacturing principles to optimize workflow, reduce waste, and improve productivity across the department Oversee materials handling processes, including the use of forklifts and other hand tools for raw material storage and finished goods movement Maintain equipment performance by scheduling routine maintenance on press brake machines, CNC lathes, CNC machines, and other fabrication tools Lead continuous improvement initiatives by analyzing process data, identifying bottlenecks, and implementing corrective actions Requirements Proven experience supervising plastics injection molding operations or related manufacturing environments Strong mechanical knowledge of plastics blow molding, extrusion, and injection molding machinery Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for machine control and automation troubleshooting Ability to operate fabrication tools such as press brake machines, CNC lathes, hand tools, micrometers, calipers, and precision measuring instruments Knowledge of materials handling procedures including forklift operation (certification preferred) and warehouse management practices Understanding of quality inspection standards and techniques specific to plastics manufacturing processes Basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and process adjustments Experience with lean manufacturing principles to promote efficiency and waste reduction Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate a team while maintaining safety standards Our ideal candidate is energetic with a passion for manufacturing excellence!
