April 23, 2026 : Process Controls & Automation (PC&A) Engineer to support our Washington (PA) Plate Operations, including industrial furnaces, sheet leveling, grinding, pickling and material handling systems. As a Process Control and Automation Engineer, you are responsible for improving and streamlining our manufacturing processes through the design, configuration, implementation, support, and integration of process control and automation systems. You'll develop process control applications utilizing Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC), Distributed Control Systems, Human Machine Interfaces (HMI) and Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition systems (SCADA). A successful Process Control and Automation Engineer will have to quickly develop a strong understanding of the Washington Plate Facility to identify and develop efficient methods and processes to improve effectiveness, efficiency, and reliability through technical innovation In addition, the engineer in this position will work to develop technical depth with other members of the PC&A team, in addition to training and providing remote support to remote facilities in the business unit. Essential Functions Analyze and troubleshoot challenges to appropriately recommend continuous improvement strategies and solutions. Apply advanced engineering principles and process control strategies to improve operating efficiency of new and existing automation systems. Partner with cross-functional teams to implement process control models, strategies, and other methods for ensuring strong outputs, reliability and efficiencies. Provide technical expertise in support of capital projects, process evaluation, and project modifications. Assure process documentation is regularly developed and maintained. Interface with multiple equipment suppliers to understand their equipment operation and control. Basic Qualifications A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering with exposure to Automation, Programming, and control systems theory Preferred Qualifications Two years of electrical process controls, automation, or electrical controls and instrumentation experience Advanced degree in Engineering Allen Bradley PLC Based Control Systems Controls Systems PE or Electrical PE license Benefits PEAK's benefit offerings available for our associates include medical, dental, vision, Flexible Spending Account (FSA), Dependent Care Savings Account (DCA), and 401K plan.
