The Marlboro Mill in Bennettsville, SC, is seeking talent to fill the position of Entry Level Process Engineer in the Final Products Department which includes both Paper and Finishing areas. This full-time, permanent position reports to the Final Products Manager. Key Responsibilities Be an advocate for and an active member of the Final Products Department management team Support all operations and maintenance activities of the Final Products Department Monitor daily operations for environmental compliance Review daily operations strategies to ensure that we are safely and efficiently meeting our goals Help identify and participate in continuous improvement and cost savings projects Assist with identifying quality improvement opportunities. Work with shift teams and technicians to troubleshoot issues as they arise in daily operations Participate in planning outages and react to unscheduled events Help to facilitate good communication between the rotating shift teams, day maintenance teams, contract maintenance teams, and day staff Participate in troubleshooting efforts such as Root Cause Failure Analysis Participate in review of existing SOP's, development of new SOP's, and training of personnel as needed Required Qualifications / Experience Recent graduate with BS in Pulp and Paper (Paper Science) and / or Chemical Engineering High degree of computer literacy to include MS Office Strong written and verbal communication skills Proficient planning, organization, and time-management skills Results-focused and detail-oriented Well-developed problem-solving, troubleshooting, and analytical skills Demonstrated leadership skills Familiar with or capable of learning the paper-making process Safety and team-oriented with a good work ethic, positive attitude, and the ability to work independently or in a team environment Excellent communication and computer skills Experience with SAP, Excel, Word, PI, and PARCView is desirable. Critical Competencies for Success Ability to communicate effectively with employees at all levels within the mill High level of initiative and motivation Team player attitude, with the ability to work with diverse teams, multiple organizational levels and across business functions Resourceful, quick learner and dependable You will be required to successfully complete a selection process that could include interviews, an employment background check, a pre-employment drug and alcohol screen, reference verifications, aptitude tests (for some positions), and a fitness-for-duty test (for some positions).
