Engineering Manager Position Summary Abner Solar Inc. is seeking a Process Engineering Lead to support the launch and expansion of solar module manufacturing operations. This position will provide technical leadership for manufacturing processes, drive continuous improvement initiatives, support production operations, and coordinate process engineering activities between U.S. operations and China headquarters. The ideal candidate combines strong technical expertise with leadership capabilities in a high-volume manufacturing environment. Essential Responsibilities Lead and coordinate process engineering activities across manufacturing operations. Optimize manufacturing processes to improve yield, throughput, quality, and cost performance. Analyze production data and identify root causes of process deviations, defects, and production losses. Develop and implement corrective and preventive actions to improve process stability. Lead continuous improvement initiatives utilizing Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, PFMEA, SPC, DOE, and 8D methodologies. Support new product introduction (NPI), process validation, and production ramp-up activities. Develop and maintain SOPs, work instructions, process flow diagrams, and process control plans. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to Process Engineers and Technicians. Partner closely with Production, Quality, and Equipment Engineering teams to improve overall manufacturing performance. Serve as the primary process engineering liaison between U.S. operations and China-based engineering teams. Support engineering staffing, training, and capability development initiatives. Drive projects focused on safety, quality, delivery, and cost improvement. QualificationsRequired Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field. 5+ years of manufacturing engineering experience. Experience leading process improvement projects in a production environment. Strong knowledge of root cause analysis and statistical problem-solving techniques. Experience working with cross-functional teams in manufacturing operations. Strong communication and leadership skills. Fluent in English and Mandarin Chinese is preferred. Preferred Experience in solar, battery, semiconductor, electronics, automotive, or other high-volume manufacturing industries. Experience supporting startup operations, greenfield facilities, or new production line launches. Knowledge of MES, ERP, and manufacturing reporting systems. Previous experience leading engineers or technicians.
Pay:
$55,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
