European Citizens Overview We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Instrumentation & Control (I&C) Engineer to join our onsite team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining sophisticated control systems that ensure the safe and efficient operation of complex facilities. Your expertise will support systems engineering initiatives, contribute to system design improvements, and uphold rigorous quality assurance standards. Duties Develop and refine control system architectures utilizing distributed control systems (DCS), ensuring seamless integration with existing manufacturing and laboratory processes Design, test, and troubleshoot instrumentation and control components using programming languages such as Python, C++, and Fortran to optimize system performance Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to conduct system analysis, mechanical assessments, and mechanical engineering evaluations for project feasibility and safety compliance Create detailed technical documentation, including system specifications, operational procedures, and quality assurance reports to support regulatory compliance and knowledge transfer Oversee installation, calibration, and maintenance of instrumentation equipment in laboratory settings or manufacturing environments Perform analysis of radioactive waste handling systems to ensure safety standards are met or exceeded Lead or support construction activities related to control system upgrades or new facility developments, ensuring adherence to project timelines and specifications Skills Strong foundation in systems engineering principles with experience in system design for complex industrial applications Mechanical knowledge complemented by hands-on laboratory experience in testing instrumentation components Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C++, Fortran for automation, data analysis, and control system development Familiarity with manufacturing processes and quality assurance protocols within industrial or laboratory environments Experience working with radioactive waste management systems or related safety-critical operations Excellent analysis skills for troubleshooting control issues and optimizing system performance through detailed diagnostics Effective technical writing abilities for creating clear documentation, manuals, and reports that communicate complex concepts effectively Join us to be part of a forward-thinking team dedicated to advancing control systems technology while ensuring safety, quality, and innovation at every step.
