Tooling Manager Aminov Search Partners Richmond, VA Job Details Full-time $85,000 - $105,000 a year 1 day ago Benefits Paid holidays 401(k) matching Qualifications Mechanical blueprint interpretation Injection (injection molding) Mechanical drawings Full Job Description Our client, a leading international provider in the automotive sector, is searching for a dedicated professional to lead and enhance tooling operations at their facility just outside of Richmond, VA. The role is pivotal in the management of tooling manufacture and repair, ensuring the seamless functioning of injection molding equipment, and supporting innovative tooling endeavors. You will play a critical role in steering tool creation and refurbishment, sustaining the reliability of injection machinery, and engaging collaboratively with production teams, quality assurance, and client services to foster productivity and ongoing enhancements.
Key Responsibilities:
Direct and manage tooling fabrication, maintenance, and repair initiatives for injection molding processes. Diagnose and rectify mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic discrepancies in injection molding apparatus. Implement routine preventive maintenance on all plant equipment and machinery. Execute modifications, repairs, and rebuilds on production machinery as necessary. Provide expert technical advice and training on maintenance and repair best practices. Collaborate seamlessly with production, quality control, maintenance, and senior management to swiftly address tooling concerns and spearhead new ventures. Nurture strong partnerships with clients and suppliers concerning tooling creation and reparations. Coordinate and facilitate customer visits, strengthening client bonds. Emphasize adherence to company policies and encourage a culture of continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
Over 5 years of expertise in injection molding. Proficiency with electrical schematics and system understanding. Basic skills in PLC programming, with a preference for Siemens systems. Experience in programming with a preference for Kuka automation systems. Ability to interpret blueprints and technical schematics for machinery, hydraulics, and pneumatics. Robust mechanical problem-solving and analytical capability. Experience in the automotive industry is highly beneficial. Familiarity with SAP and Engel molding systems is desired.
