Sterling, VA Multiple Positions Available:
(1) Coordinate and plan work activities for the Control Systems Techs/Leads to accomplish goals and objectives of North America Customer Fulfillment teams. (2) Work closely with building Operations, Operations Engineering, FC Start up Team, AFT Software teams, ACES team, and WHS Safety in supporting material handling equipment (MHE) systems optimization and project implementation. Act as the technical consultant for capital projects inside the warehouse. (3) Understand, maintain and troubleshoot material handling control systems, including PLC/PC controllers and industrial networks such as Ethernet, ControlNet, DeviceNet, Profibus, motor control systems, servo drives, frequency drives, and electrical distribution systems. (4) Monitor material handling equipment (MHE), Key Performance Indicator (KPI) metrics and partner with maintenance/operations for system performance issues and provide analysis across all operations. (5) Act as first level escalation support for the Control Systems Techs/Leads, during and after business hours, troubleshooting locally or remotely and repairing all hardware or controls software systems in complex industrial environments. (6) Project Management (PM) of large-scale initiatives that will require work activities coordination of site-based Automation Engineers (AE) to accomplish goals of the business. (7) Facilitate Failure Analysis and Incident Review processes and implement process improvements or retraining to avoid future incidents. (8) Apply subject matter expertise (SME) in material handling and electronic systems to maximize building utilization of systems. (9) Perform, Utilize, and provide analysis building System Assessments to assess material handling system performance. (10)Programming and source coding for in-house built solutions based on PLC or PC controllers and
SCADA/OEE
platforms. (11)Develop solutions related to Automation Systems. Communicate technical issues and project timelines with building leadership, operations and the maintenance team. Explain production impacts. (12)Assist with skill assessments for technical positions like mentoring Automation Engineers (AE), Control System Technicians (CST) and Control System Leads (CSL). (13) Domestic travel up to 80% to perform role responsibilities may be required. (40 hours / week, 8:00am-5:00pm, Salary Range $117478

Basic Qualifications A Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent degree in Engineering, Computer Science or related discipline and 2 years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation.
Experience must include:
(1) 2 years of experience in providing proactive automation controls technical support in maximizing equipment reliability and operational performance of equipment. (2) 2 years of experience in designing and troubleshooting material handling control systems, including programming PLCs and HMIs. (3) 2 years of experience in identifying, maintaining, troubleshooting, and modifying Motor Controls including motor starters, Variable Frequency Drives, DC drives, and standard electrical distribution systems. (4) 2 years of experience in interpreting and modifying mechanical and electrical drawings. Preferred Qualifications All applicants must meet all the above listed requirements.
