Job Description
Process Engineer / Project Manager responsible for fluid and thermal system design, process documentation, equipment specification, and project execution support. Job Requirements Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Food Science, or equivalent experience 5+ years of fluid or thermal system design experience Experience developing P&ID and PFD diagrams Experience performing fluid dynamics and thermodynamics calculations Experience with pumps, piping, valves, heat exchangers, and process loads Experience specifying process equipment and preparing equipment requisitions Experience directing or validating designs for skids, tanks, and process equipment Experience ensuring process designs meet contract scope and project requirements Experience verifying piping installations against P&IDs and sanitary practices Ability to travel approximately 35% for site visits and installation oversight Preferred Skills Experience with sanitary food processing systems AutoCAD 2D experience Experience supporting control panel design and PLC programming inputs Experience supporting sales or estimating with technical reviews, pre-bid P&IDs, and drawings Experience with startup, commissioning, and training support MS Office experience, including Word, Excel, and Outlook Job Responsibilities Manage projects as a Process Engineer and Project Manager Develop P&ID and PFD diagrams for process systems Perform fluid dynamics and thermodynamics calculations for pumps, piping, valves, heat exchangers, and process loads Specify pumps, valves, heat exchangers, and related process equipment Prepare equipment requisitions and technical documentation Direct and validate designs for skids, tanks, and process equipment Ensure process design complies with contract scope and project requirements Provide process inputs for control panel design and PLC programming Support sales and estimating activities through technical reviews, pre-bid P&IDs, and drawings Verify piping installation matches P&ID requirements and sanitary practices Support startup, commissioning, and operator training Resolve design issues, punch list items, and warranty items Travel to project sites for field visits, installation oversight, startup, and commissioning support
