Biron, WIThe actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will be based on multiple factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, and internal equity. Key Responsibilities and Expected ResultsDemonstrate safety as a core value and establish a safe work environment by actively leading the safe execution of workReduce costs; complete cost reduction projects that provide significant savings through product substitution, reduced variability, improved quality, and higher operating efficiencyImprove and optimize processes; provide assistance to production areas in evaluating changes to operation; aid operating personnel to better understand their processes and quality problems encountered Assist in developing new products; includes planning and running in-mill trials; interacting with Sales, Technical Field Service, and customersAssist production areas with troubleshooting and other assistance as neededWork closely with hourly crews in developing or changing procedures to improve safety, operations, cost, quality and efficiencyAdhere to safe work practices, good housekeeping, follow-up and correction of unsafe acts and conditions, participate in mill and departmental safety programs and meetingsWork beyond normal work schedule as necessary to fulfill position responsibilitiesProvide on-call and weekend duty coverage within a designated rotationCarry out other responsibilities related to position as requiredKey Performance Indicators (KPIs)Production OutputDowntimeQuality PerformanceCost and EfficiencyContinuous ImprovementCollaboration and Operations SupportQualifications and SkillsB.S. in Pulp & Paper Science and/or Chemical EngineeringTechnical SkillsProcess optimization: improving efficiency, yield, and product quality Data analysis: using plant data to diagnose problems and identify trends Familiarity with tools like Excel, statistical software, or process simulation toolsCore CompetenciesSafety conscious and willing to work in an industrial environmentExcellent interpersonal and communication skillsDesire to work in an industrial environment and production atmosphere and climb in/around equipmentStrong leadership capabilitiesGood time management and multi-tasking skillsAbility to interact with all levels of the organizationStrong initiative and perseveranceStrong ambition for continuous learning, willingness to take on additional responsibilities, and desire to promote in the future.Working ConditionsYoull spend time both in an office and on the mill floorThe mill floor is noisy, hot, humid, and sometimes dusty.
