Job Description
- What You'll Be Doing
Job Summary:
- Generally responsible for performing engineering task to support the complete design of small and large civil engineering projects using theoretical knowledge and practical design methods.
- Primary responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- + Produce low complex, complete design calculations and assignments + Provide design assistance on larger and more complex assignments + Develop conceptual layouts and cost studies + Assist with drafting of plans and details for the completion of engineering drawings + Perform fieldwork to gather data, check tie-ins, and provide construction support + Develop written construction specifications that define the scope of work, provide specific instruction, and prescribe quality standards + Perform land development and zoning code research for civil-site development projects + Work with discipline lead engineer in identifying scope changes in projects + Review and check submittal drawings and documentation •Ideal Background•
Education:
- Bachelor or Master of Science degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university is required.
Registration:
- Engineer in Training (EIT) registration is strongly preferred and may be required.
Experience:
- This position requires up to 1 to 3-years of relevant experience in civil-site engineering in the industrial setting. Previous experience in commercial, government, or infrastructure setting may be considered for this position.
- Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- + Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, maintaining focus and re-prioritizing as necessary to meet multiple commitments + Knowledge and application of associated standards (ASCE, ACI, AASHTO, AREMA, NRCS, NFPA, etc.
