JOB DESCRIPTION A
growing structural steel and pre-engineered metal building (PEMB) erector is seeking an experienced Structural Engineer (PE) to join its team. This position will play a critical role in the design, analysis, and execution of structural steel and PEMB projects across the commercial, industrial, manufacturing, aviation, and data center sectors. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise, practical construction knowledge, and the ability to collaborate effectively with project managers, detailers, fabricators, and field operations. This is an excellent opportunity to join a respected contractor with a strong backlog of work and significant opportunities for professional growth. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform structural analysis and design for structural steel and PEMB projects Review and seal engineering calculations, drawings, and design documents as required Develop structural solutions that meet project specifications, building codes, and client requirements Review structural drawings, shop drawings, RFIs, submittals, and engineering revisions Coordinate with project managers, detailers, fabricators, architects, owners, and general contractors Evaluate existing structures and provide engineering recommendations for modifications and additions Design and review connection details, foundations, bracing systems, and erection considerations Support fabrication and field erection teams with engineering guidance and problem resolution Ensure compliance with applicable building codes, AISC standards, MBMA standards, and industry best practices Participate in project planning, value engineering, and constructability reviews Assist with forensic investigations, field inspections, and engineering reports as needed QUALIFICATIONS
Professional Engineer (PE) license required Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering required 5+ years of structural engineering experience preferred Experience with structural steel and/or pre-engineered metal building systems required Strong knowledge of steel design, connection design, and structural analysis Familiarity with AISC, IBC, ASCE
7, MBMA, and related design standards Proficiency with structural engineering software and Microsoft Office Suite Ability to read and interpret structural and architectural drawings Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
Base Salary:
