Job Title:
Construction Project Engineer Job Description The Construction Project Engineer plays a vital role in supporting the Preproduction Manager during all phases of a production project. This position requires expertise in basic electrical power, lighting, and low voltage installations. The engineer will assist with budget development, constructability reviews, value engineering, and provide overall project documentation support. This role involves overseeing 1-2 projects simultaneously. Responsibilities Oversee the installation of basic electrical power, lighting, and low voltage systems on 1-2 site projects. Collaborate closely with the Preproduction Manager throughout the project phases. Assist in developing project budgets and conducting constructability reviews. Engage in value engineering to ensure project efficiency. Support overall project documentation and communication efforts. Essential Skills Proficiency in electrical systems, gained through education or work experience. Experience with low voltage and construction projects. Familiarity with smart sheets, Excel, and ACC for effective project communication. Ability to use Revit for design and project planning. Competence in managing bills of materials and tracking budgets. Additional Skills & Qualifications 1-5 years of experience in electrical systems, either through direct work experience or education. Work Environment The work is primarily conducted in a standard office environment with occasional exposure to moderate noise levels from computer peripherals and manufacturing tools such as saws, drills, grinders, and forklifts. Extended periods of computer operation are expected. Travel to various worksites may be required depending on project assignments. Typical work hours are between 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, with the possibility of work at any time to meet business needs. Light travel, up to 10%, is required mainly for training purposes. The position offers hourly pay with opportunities for overtime and merit-based pay increases. Ongoing training is provided. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Opelika, AL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $68640.00- $79040.00/yr. Full range of FTI benefits
