Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic engineering team as a Structural Engineer Intern (EI), where you will embark on an exciting journey of professional growth and hands-on experience. This entry-level role is designed for motivated individuals eager to develop their skills in structural analysis, design, and project coordination. As a vital part of our collaborative environment, you will support senior engineers on diverse projects spanning educational, commercial, residential, and infrastructure sectors. This paid position offers a unique opportunity to gain comprehensive exposure to structural engineering principles, technical software tools, and construction processes while contributing to impactful projects that shape communities. Responsibilities Assist in developing structural designs and drawings using industry-standard software such as Revit, AutoCAD, RISA, and Tekla. Support project scheduling efforts by tracking milestones, deadlines, and deliverables to ensure timely completion of engineering tasks. Prepare detailed technical drawings and drafting documents aligned with project specifications and codes. Collaborate with project managers and senior engineers to coordinate design efforts across disciplines including geotechnical engineering, civil engineering, and system design. Contribute to the review of construction documents and assist in site inspections to verify adherence to design intent and safety standards. Utilize FEA (Finite Element Analysis) software for structural analysis and system modeling. Document technical findings through clear technical writing, reports, and project documentation to facilitate effective communication among stakeholders. Perform structural examinations and project site visits. Skills Proficiency with CAD software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation, and Revit for drafting and modeling tasks. Experience with project management tools and techniques including project scheduling software. Knowledge of construction practices, structural engineering principles, geotechnical considerations, and system design fundamentals. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail. Effective communication skills for technical writing, report preparation, and team collaboration.
