$80,000•$110,000 (based on experience and qualifications) 🚚 Relocation Assistance Available for the Right Candidate About the Role We are seeking an experienced Project Engineer with a strong background in heavy civil construction, specializing in underground utilities and earthwork. This position will support projects throughout the Kingman-Flagstaff region, ensuring smooth coordination between the field, office, and project management teams. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and proactive — capable of managing multiple priorities while maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and efficiency. Key Responsibilities Support the Project Manager and field leadership to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget. Coordinate daily operations with superintendents and foremen, including materials, subcontractors, equipment, and quality control. Ensure strict compliance with company safety policies and OSHA standards. Manage scope changes, assist with scheduling, and process change orders. Support project planning, including definition, scope, resources, and baseline scheduling. Prepare and coordinate key plans such as traffic control, erosion control, safety, and equipment mobilization. Communicate effectively with clients, vendors, and subcontractors to ensure timely, high-quality execution. Utilize Viewpoint for project documentation, cost tracking, and reporting. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering, or equivalent field experience. Minimum 3+ years of experience in heavy civil construction (earthwork, underground utilities, highways, or structures). Proficiency in Viewpoint preferred; experience with Alternative Delivery methods (Design-Build, CM/GC) is a plus. Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills. Self-starter with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
