The ideal Construction Project Engineer will not only have a passion for building one-of-a-kind Personal Resorts® and fine custom homes, but will also have the heart to build relationships with internal and external team members, helping advance Team DSC's 45 year tradition of integrity and excellence in the industry. The Construction Project Engineer will be interested in growing themselves personally and professionally, both through informal and formal continuing education (DSC provides up to $2,400 per year to each team member for their continued growth through external formal education programs). In addition to working alongside the best clients, designers, and construction professionals in the industry, the Construction Project Engineer candidate will be interested in helping grow Team DSC's legacy giving back to the community. Through various contributions and projects donated to our community in recent years, Team DSC has enabled the preparation of 6,327,972 meals to individuals needing help in inner city Phoenix, the rescuing and restoration of 931 human trafficking victims, and many scholarships have been given to future construction professionals at ASU through the Team DSC scholarship endowment at the Del E. Webb School of Construction. The ideal Construction Project Engineer candidate will be comfortable assisting the Project team in overseeing the entirety of project operations on Team DSC's Personal Resorts®. The Project Engineer will help provide day to day leadership of trade contractors, suppliers, and co-workers to commence and complete all necessary operations required within a project while maintaining schedule, budget, and relations. Candidate will help oversee and direct construction management. The Project Engineer will assist the Project team in communicating with trade contractors and suppliers concerning project staffing and scheduling on behalf of the organization. Project Engineer will help maintain project schedule, daily reports, close-out, submittal management, and work to ensure work product adheres to contract specifications. The Project Engineer will work alongside the Project Manager and Superintendent to complete the project on time, within budget, and meeting The DSC Standard® for quality and service. Superintendent With The Below:
Oversee daily on-site construction operations Macro-level project schedule development, maintenance, and execution. Micro-level scheduling of trade contractors through short interval schedules (3 Week Schedules) Ensure safety, compliance, and quality regulations are adhered to Quality control and verification of all work performed on the project Customer service and on-site liaison for all project stakeholders Strong ability to maintain relationships with external and internal customers Effective communication skills including verbal and written communication skills and listening skills Commitment to customer service Requires the flexibility to work within established frameworks while also being able to handle the unexpected, anticipate situations, make decisions and take quick action Must be energetic and enthusiastic with a positive bias for action attitude Ability to handle confidential information discreetly Ability to work productively with minimal instruction on day-to-day work Qualifications 1-3+ years of experience in residential construction (commercial experience is also considered due to the scale of Team DSC's Personal Resorts®) Strong project management and communications skills Ability to read, understand, and streamline dissemination of construction documents to trade contractors and other project stakeholders Detail-oriented, with proven success with accuracy, conscientiousness, and a strong work ethic Familiarity with regulatory construction standards including municipal code inspections, dust control, OSHA, etc. Ability to work well within a team environment and be a positive contributor and leader of the on-site project team Demonstrate ability to plan, organize, and prioritize responsibilities in order to consistently meet deadlines and customer needs Adept at using Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and Project Experience with Revit A360, Bluebeam, and Sage 100 is a plus, but not required Experience piloting drones for video and photography purposes is a plus, but not required Must be able to lift a minimum of seventy-five pounds.
