The Boeing Company is currently seeking a Phantom Works Proprietary Structural Analysis Engineer - Experienced/Senior to join the team in Berkeley, MO. Phantom Works is Boeing's advanced technology organization. We are a team of innovators, engineers, and scientists who are passionate about solving the toughest challenges in aerospace. We work on a variety of projects, from advanced military systems to commercial space exploration. As a Structural Analysis Engineer, you will be responsible for performing structural analysis on a variety of aerospace structures, including composite and metallic components. You will work closely with design engineers to ensure that the structures meet performance and safety requirements.
Position Responsibilities:
Perform structural analysis using classical methods and finite element analysis (FEA). Develop and validate analytical models to predict structural behavior. Collaborate with design engineers to ensure compliance with design requirements. Prepare technical reports and presentations to communicate analysis results. Support design reviews and provide recommendations for design improvements. Participate in the development of new analysis tools and methodologies. Mentor junior engineers and provide guidance on best practices. Support the development of test plans and analysis of test data. Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures. Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field. 5 or more years of experience in structural analysis. Experience with finite element analysis (FEA) tools. Strong understanding of structural mechanics and materials. Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree in Engineering or related field. Experience with composite materials and structures. Experience in aerospace industry. Knowledge of design and analysis software (e.g., ANSYS, Abaqus).
