Engineering Analytics, now part of MacKay Sposito, is seeking a motivated and relationship-focused full-time Project Engineer to join our team in San Diego, CA. This role will have a mix of office and field-based responsibilities across a broad range of multi-year projects within aerospace, water treatment, and more. This Project Engineer will travel approximately 50% of the time in Southern California.
Key Responsibilities:
Construction management/inspection activities Design of water, wastewater, and other infrastructure systems and facilities Prepare studies, reports, plans, specifications, and cost estimates for a wide variety of groundwater/wastewater projects Support project managers with client relations, stakeholder management, and sub-consultant coordination Industrial Process Control and Control Systems Design Assist in proposal preparation, including oral presentations. Prepare the scope, schedule, and budget for new projects Work within a team of project managers, design engineers, technicians, and support staff to successfully complete a variety of projects Take ownership of projects from start to finish Review submittals and RFIs, prepare designs for a variety of projects, keeping within budget and meeting timelines/milestonesMinimum Qualifications:
3+ years of relevant experience in water, wastewater, and stormwater project design At least one year of experience in field construction oversight Bachelor's degree in Chemical or Civil Engineering Familiarity with Project Management platforms such as ACC is preferred. Experience with scheduling software such as Primavera P6 is preferred. California P.E. license or the ability to obtain one within a reasonable timeframe is preferred Ability to establish and maintain stakeholder relationships Ability to learn and adapt Ability to manage several project tasks concurrently Ability to work independently on construction sites Solid organizational, verbal, and written communication skills Ability to establish and maintain relationships with multi-disciplinary team members Why Join MacKay? Salaries are based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as various market and business considerations. Full-time employees receive a well-rounded benefit package including access to our company-sponsored Medical (including an HSA High Deductible option), Dental, Vision, FSA, and Supplemental Life Insurance plans.
