They are currently seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Senior Project Engineer / Assistant Project Manager with a strong background in supporting commercial Tenant Improvement projects and or Commercial Plumbing projects. This role is integral to supporting project managers and senior engineers in delivering high-quality mechanical design and construction projects. The ideal candidate will be capable of balancing technical design responsibilities with project coordination, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Key Responsibilities Collaborate with project managers, senior engineers, and field teams to support HVAC and plumbing projects from design through completion. Assist with project planning, scheduling, and budget tracking. Review and assemble project documentation including submittals, RFIs, change orders, and purchase orders. Support mechanical system design by performing load calculations, equipment selections, and layout coordination. Work with clients, architects, contractors, and consultants to address project requirements and resolve technical challenges. Conduct site visits, inspections, and field coordination to verify installation quality and compliance with design documents. Maintain project records and provide timely updates and reports to management. Ensure adherence to applicable building codes, energy standards, and company policies. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field required. EIT certification preferred; PE license is a plus. 2-5 years of experience in mechanical project engineering, with a focus on HVAC and plumbing systems. Strong understanding of building codes and industry standards (ASHRAE, NFPA, IPC, etc.). Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office Suite. Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills. Ability to manage multiple assignments, prioritize tasks, and work both independently and in team environments.
