Job Description
SA Geotechnical, Inc., is hiring a Staff Engineer to perform:
- Site specific geotechnical exploration, drilling, sampling and logging of various types of borings;
- Evaluation of laboratory testing
- Landslide and hillside grading assessment/studies
- General engineering analysis (i.e. foundation design, retaining walls, geologic maps, seismic hazards, slope stability, etc.)
- Construction observation and testing
- Geotechnical design and as-graded reports
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil/Geotechnical Engineering (Master's degree preferred).
- Ability to work outside in uneven terrain and variable weather conditions
- Ability to lift equipment
- Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle suitable for offroad/unpaved terrain driving
- Willingness to travel within Southern California to various job sites
- Good communications and writing skills
