Job Description

Structural Engineer (Culver City) We are looking for a motivated and experienced Structural Engineer to join our team! As a Structural Engineer, you will be responsible for generating drawings, performing structural analysis, and assisting with the construction activities. Structural Engineer duties and responsibilities Prepare reports, designs, drawings and calculations. Consider the strength of construction materials and select appropriately. Provide technical advice on safe designs and construction. Create structural models by using computer-aided design software Analyze configurations of the basic components of a structure. Obtain planning and/or building regulations approval. Use computer-assisted engineering and design software and equipment to prepare engineering design documents. Coordinate work with other disciplines such as architectural, mechanical, electrical, etc. Perform field activities such as observe and record existing field conditions and inspect all work undertaken by contractors to ensure structural soundness Review shop drawings Structural Engineer requirements and qualifications Minimum of 3 years of experience in a structural design of wood/concrete buildings Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering Strong computer skills Proficiency in MS Office (Mandatory) Proficiency with AutoCAD software (Mandatory) Ability to read and interpret construction drawings Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong analytical skills Strong problem solving skills Work Environment Job is performed indoors in a traditional office setting.
