Senior Project Engineer RimePro Inc Newport Beach, CA Job Details Full-time $90,000 - $120,000 a year 15 hours ago Qualifications Construction specifications Project engineering Construction RFI responses Project change management Construction document control Managing projects Construction submittals Document change management Construction change order management Cross-functional communication Full Job Description Position Overview The Senior Project Engineer plays a key role in supporting the management and coordination of DSA-regulated or public works construction projects from preconstruction through project completion. This position works closely with Project Managers, Superintendents, subcontractors, and design teams to ensure projects are delivered on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with all regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate has experience working on public sector or DSA construction projects, including schools, municipal facilities, or other government-funded developments. Key Responsibilities Support the Project Manager in coordinating DSA or public works construction projects from start to finish. Manage project documentation including RFIs, submittals, change orders, and meeting minutes. Track project schedules and assist with schedule updates to ensure project milestones are met. Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, architects, and engineers throughout the construction process. Assist with subcontractor procurement, scope reviews, and contract administration. Maintain project logs and documentation required for DSA or public works compliance. Work closely with the field team to monitor construction progress and address project issues. Support quality control processes and ensure work complies with plans and specifications. Assist with cost tracking, budget updates, and project reporting. Coordinate project closeout documentation including final inspections and compliance records. Qualifications 5-8 years of experience working as a Project Engineer for a general contractor. Experience working on DSA projects or public works construction projects such as schools, municipal facilities, or government-funded developments. Strong understanding of construction documents, specifications, and project management processes. Experience managing RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project documentation. Strong organizational and communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively with project teams, subcontractors, and consultants. Proficiency with construction management software and project documentation tools. Preferred Qualifications Experience working on K-12 school, higher education, or municipal construction projects. Familiarity with DSA documentation processes, inspections, and compliance requirements. Proficiency with tools such as Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Project, or Primavera. Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
