Civil Engineer (Mid-Level) Oakland, California Full Time | Engineering Consulting The Opportunity A growing, multidisciplinary engineering consultancy is looking to add an experienced Civil Engineer to its Bay Area team. This firm works across a wide range of project types and industries, offering engineers the opportunity to stay technically engaged while gaining exposure to diverse, real world challenges. What You'll Be Doing In this role, you will contribute to the delivery of civil engineering projects from concept through construction support.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting feasibility assessments, design development, and project execution
- Preparing civil engineering plans related to grading, drainage, utilities, and site development
- Performing hydrologic and hydraulic calculations and technical analyses
- Assisting with permitting and coordination with local agencies
- Producing reports, studies, and technical documentation
- Supporting construction phase services, including coordination and responding to project needs in the field
- Collaborating with internal teams across multiple engineering disciplines
- Assisting with project scoping, proposals, and client communication Project Exposure You will work across a variety of civil and site development projects, including:
- Commercial and institutional developments
- Public and infrastructure related work
- Industrial and energy related facilities
- Mixed use and site development projects What They Are Looking For Required
- Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline
- 7 to 12 years of relevant civil engineering experience
- Experience in site development, permitting, and construction support
- Proficiency in civil design software used for site and infrastructure projects
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team environment Preferred
- EIT certification required, with Professional Engineer registration viewed favorably
- Experience working in a multidisciplinary consulting environment
- Ability to manage multiple tasks independently and prioritize effectively
