Civil Engineer Job Description We are seeking an experienced Professional Engineer to oversee and lead a variety of projects focused on roads and site development, grading, pavement, stormwater, water distribution, and sanitary sewer collection systems. Projects range from $2M to $250M in value and include work with public entities such as federal agencies (U.S. Navy, Coast Guard, Veterans Affairs), state and municipal governments, educational institutions, and transportation and civic infrastructure. Private sector projects include civil and structural engineering for commercial facilities, private housing, multi-family projects, and design-build partnerships. Responsibilities Oversee and manage projects focused on roads and site development, grading, pavement, stormwater, water distribution, and sanitary sewer collection systems. Lead civil and structural engineering efforts for a range of public and private sector projects. Collaborate with federal agencies and state/municipal governments on infrastructure projects. Engage in design-build partnerships with private developers for mixed-use or commercial projects. Prepare stormwater reports and conduct land development planning. Utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D for project design and development. Essential Skills 10 years of experience in design and project management focused on site development, grading, stormwater, and water distribution and sanitary sewer collection systems. Licensing as a Civil Professional Engineer in the State of California. Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Master's Degree preferred. Proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D. Experience with stormwater report preparation. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with federal/DoD projects and public projects in California is preferred. Work Environment This role requires working primarily 5 days in the office with a hybrid program. Hybrid flexibility is earned and will be a discussion after a 3-month period. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $62.50 - $68.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
