The Structural Engineer I will assist in the design, analysis, and production of structural precast concrete systems for a variety of projects including commercial buildings, parking structures, industrial facilities, and bridges. This is an excellent opportunity for an entry-level engineer to gain hands-on experience while working under the guidance of licensed engineers. The ideal candidate is highly organized, eager to learn, and motivated to grow their career toward Professional Engineer (PE) licensure. This role requires strong technical skills and the ability to collaborate in a fast-paced engineering environment. Key Responsibilities Assist with structural analysis and design of precast concrete components including wall panels, beams, columns, and floor systems Prepare engineering calculations under supervision Develop erection and fabrication drawings using CAD and BIM software Review architectural, structural, and contract documents for accuracy Assist in the design of prestressed and post-tensioned concrete members Coordinate with project managers, detailers, production staff, and field teams Review shop drawings and production documents Perform field visits and site observations as needed Support engineering staff during project meetings Assist with product development and standardization efforts Maintain accurate engineering records and project documentation Ensure designs comply with applicable building codes and industry standards Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (Structural emphasis preferred) 0-3 years of structural engineering experience Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines Strong communication and problem-solving skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office Preferred Qualifications Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification or ability to obtain within 12 months Experience with AutoCAD and/or Revit Familiarity with structural analysis software such as RISA, RAM, ETABS, or SAP2000 Exposure to precast or prestressed concrete design Work Environment /
