Mid Level Salary:
$35 - $45 per hour Job Details - We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Field Staff Engineer to join our dynamic team. This position offers an exciting opportunity to be a part of a leading engineering firm, working on a diverse range of projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Geotechnical Engineering and a deep understanding of ACI Concrete standards and AWS standards in welding. This role demands a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience and a Bachelor's degree in a related field. The successful candidate will be responsible for field testing, sampling, and inspection of concrete and soils on construction sites.
Responsibilities:
1. Perform field testing, sampling, and inspection of concrete and soils in accordance with established procedures and standards. 2. Prepare and submit accurate and timely field reports on the results of the tests and inspections. 3. Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and contractors to ensure that all materials and workmanship meet the project specifications and quality standards. 4. Assist in the evaluation of field and laboratory test data and provide recommendations based on the findings. 5. Monitor and document construction activities related to soil and concrete work. 6. Maintain and calibrate all testing equipment to ensure accurate results. 7. Provide technical assistance to the project team and clients as needed. 8. Comply with all safety procedures and regulations on the construction site. 9. Participate in continuous learning and professional development activities to stay updated with the latest industry trends and advancements.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or a related field. 2. A minimum of 1 year of experience as a Concrete Field Technician, Project Engineer, Geotechnical Engineer, or a similar role. 3. A valid ACI or AWS certification is required. 4. Proficiency in using various testing equipment and tools (compaction testing with Nuclear Gauge a plus) 5. Strong understanding of construction materials and methods, particularly concrete and soils. 6. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. 7. Ability to prepare detailed and accurate reports. 8. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 9. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. 10. Willingness to travel to various construction sites as needed. 11. A valid driver's license is required. 12. Strong commitment to ensuring safety and quality on the job site.
