Job Duties:
Assist with VDC/engineering activities, helping to ensure compliance with environmental, safety, or other governmental regulations. Support team leaders in order to manage and direct the construction, operations, or maintenance activities at project site. Lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of all Virtual Design and Construction (VDC) processes across the project lifecycle. Organize and facilitate VDC coordination kick-off meetings and ongoing coordination sessions, ensuring alignment across all MEPF trades and design team. Set up and manage project-specific platforms (e.g., Autodesk Construction Cloud, Cintoo, Navisworks, Revit, AutoCAD) to host and maintain BIM data. Perform hands-on VDC tasks and provide day-to-day technical support to project teams for BIM-related workflows and tools. Support field operations through drone flights for weekly progress photos and overlay existing and proposed utility locations on DroneDeploy to support coordination of work on site. Collaborate with preconstruction teams to support 4D logistics planning using Synchro, including model preparation, schedule linking, and animation outputs. Lead weekly clash detection and resolution meetings; coordinate quality control workflows and regularly audit consultant and trade partner models using various authoring platforms (e.g., Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD, BIMtrack, Bluebeam). Drive best practices in model documentation, BIM content management, and QA/QC standards to ensure consistency and accuracy. Provide training and ongoing support to project teams on using BIM tools for model navigation, coordination, and issue tracking. Develop intuitive workflows for field teams to efficiently access and utilize BIM data on mobile devices and tablets. Support reality capture to validate existing conditions and capture as-built installation through laser scanning and 360 progress photos (DroneDeploy Ground) and Matterport scans. Create visuals, renderings, and exhibits for field team using 3D models. Partner with owners and design teams to identify potential constructability issues and risks through early design model reviews.
Minimum Requirements:
Master's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field and 2 years of experience in the job offered or in a construction/civil engineering-related occupation.
Special Requirements:
Position requires at least 1 year of experience in each of the following skills: 1. Setup, support and troubleshoot Autodesk software platforms including Navisworks, Revit, AutoCAD, Sketchup and Bluebeam across project teams. 2. Perform scope gap modeling for architectural and structural elements using advanced Revit skills and Level of Development (LOD) requirements per the project BIM Execution Plan to ensure model accuracy and design coordination. 3. Create visuals & exhibits from 3D models using Navisworks, Revit, AutoCAD and Bluebeam for shop drawings, layout drawings, clash identification for field teams and RFI support Documentation. 4. Effectively perform 3D clash detection using design and trade models in Autodesk Navisworks to identify and resolve spatial conflicts before field installation. 5. Administer and support BIM coordination meetings by leading weekly BIM calls, identifying model-based issues, tracking resolution of clashes with project architects, MEP engineers, trade partners and send meeting minutes and reports using Bluebeam, Navisworks, BIMtrack & Autodesk Construction Cloud. 6. Utilize knowledge of P6 schedules and develop BIM schedules to drive coordination timelines and align with project sign-off milestones. 7. Coordinate MEPF systems on commercial office buildings, institutional facilities, and life science projects using 3D models in Navisworks and Revit to support constructability reviews and ensure trade alignment. 8. Perform existing condition capture using Matterport scanners & 360 cameras to compare site conditions against design intent. • Reflects annual base salary. Job Duties :
Plan, direct, or coordinate, usually through subordinate supervisory personnel, activities concerned with the construction and maintenance of structures, facilities, and systems. Participate in the conceptual development of a construction project and oversee its organization, scheduling, budgeting, and implementation. Assist on-site construction team efforts in the implementation of VDC applications, processes, and deliverables. Communicate metrics to the team on model quality and coordination performance. Source opportunities to enhance visuals to help increase communication and productivity on the project. Encourage participation from project stakeholders through VDC training. Communicate the advantages and applies the established VDC Services to collaborate with other workgroups. Create 3D visualizations, walkthroughs, and animations to improve stakeholder collaboration and understanding. Collaborate with superintendents, project engineers, and field supervisors to ensure coordinated models are accurate, field-ready, and accessible for on-site use. Provide training and ongoing support to project teams on using BIM tools for model navigation, coordination, and issue tracking.
