$70,000•$110,000 per year Job Details•As a Project Engineer in the Construction industry, you will be a vital part of our team, working on a variety of projects in the general contracting, commercial ground-up, healthcare, life sciences, educational, civic, and biotechnology sectors. Your role will be crucial in all stages of a project, from the initial bid to the close-out. You will be responsible for assisting in estimating, preparing proposals, issuing subcontracts, and managing project documents.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with project managers on all aspects of a project, from bid through project close-out. Assist in bidding out projects to subcontractors, estimating for self-performed work, and preparing proposals. Assist project manager with prime contract and issuing subcontracts. Manage submittals, change orders, RFI's, project documents, project meetings, invoicing owner, reviewing and approving subcontractor invoices and overall project processes. Act as a liaison between the office and field. Participate in trade shows and industry organizations.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or equivalent experience. Minimum of 5+ years' experience as a project engineer. Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, including Excel and Project. Good understanding of all trades, including MEP. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. Client-centered approach with a focus on customer development and satisfaction. Possess a "do whatever it takes" attitude. Creative thinker who is willing to think outside the box to achieve client goals. Autonomous individual who enjoys working with a team. Self-starter with excellent time management skills, fully able to set own schedule.
