We self-perform ACIP and CFA piles, rigid inclusions, deep soil mixing (DSM), and shoring on commercial, industrial, and public works projects across Northern California. We run modern equipment, invest in our crews, and pride ourselves on solving the hard foundation problems other contractors pass on. The Role We are hiring a Project Engineer to support our estimating and project management teams. This is an entry-level to early-career position built for someone who wants to learn the specialty geotechnical trade from the ground up. You will own the documentation, coordination, and data side of our active projects so our senior estimators and PMs can focus on winning and running the work. This is a high-visibility role with a direct path to Project Manager for the right person. What You'll Do Manage project documentation: submittals, RFIs, change orders, daily reports, and as-builts Process and organize field survey data, pile installation logs, and QC records Track installation tolerances and flag exceptions for the PM and field team Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and trucking for materials and scheduling Prepare and route pay applications and assist with project cost tracking Support estimators with takeoffs, quantity calculations, and bid assembly Monitor bid boards and invitation-to-bid platforms (BuildingConnected, Procore, public works portals) so no relevant opportunity is missed Maintain organized digital project files and help improve our tracking tools and workflows Visit job sites to observe operations, verify progress, and build field knowledge What We're Looking For Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Geological Engineering, or a related field Strong organizational skills and attention to detail; comfortable owning deadlines Solid Excel skills and willingness to learn estimating and project software Clear written and verbal communication; you will interact with GCs, engineers, and vendors Genuine interest in heavy civil, geotechnical, or foundation construction A driver's license and willingness to travel to Bay Area job sites A self-starter who asks good questions and follows through Nice to Have Internship or co-op experience in construction or civil engineering Exposure to deep foundations, ground improvement, or geotechnical work Familiarity with Procore, BuildingConnected, AutoCAD, Bluebeam, or Trimble Business Center Coursework in soil mechanics, foundations, or construction methods What We Offer Competitive salary based on experience Health benefits and paid time off Direct mentorship from senior estimators and project managers A clear growth path into Project Management Hands-on exposure to specialized equipment and methods you won't see at a general contractor A team that takes on technically challenging, rewarding work
