Up to $120,000 annually (based on experience) Position Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Project Engineer to join our team in Santa Clarita, CA. This role involves leading and executing a wide range of civil engineering projects, applying advanced engineering principles, and managing project deliverables from planning through completion. Key Responsibilities Organize and execute diverse project assignments requiring extensive knowledge of civil engineering principles and practices Plan, develop, and manage technical aspects of large-scale development projects or multiple smaller, complex projects Prepare project work plans, establish schedules, and manage budgets Contribute to proposal preparation, including cost estimating and technical scope development Independently resolve technical challenges and recommend scope adjustments when necessary Coordinate and review the work of engineers and CAD drafters Conduct project progress reviews and participate in job completion evaluations Perform quality assurance reviews to ensure accuracy and completeness of engineering drawings Stay current with emerging methods, technologies, and industry developments Support construction activities and provide field observations as needed Technical Duties & Areas of Expertise Site development engineering design, including: Hydrology and storm drainage Grading (rough and fine) Erosion control Streets and utilities Sanitary sewer and water systems Surveying and specifications Construction-phase support Structural coordination Prepare cost estimates and quantity takeoffs Ensure compliance with local governmental agency standards Develop striping and signing plans Qualifications Education Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering Professional Engineer (PE) license in California preferred Experience Minimum 6 years of experience with a PE license OR 10+ years of civil engineering design experience Strong background in site development and full-cycle project engineering Technical Skills Proficiency in CADD software: AutoCAD MicroStation LDT and/or InRoads Experience with hydrology/hydraulics programs:
HEC-1, HEC-2 WSPG, MORA
