Job Description

Job Overview Nationwide Shotcrete, Inc. is a leading specialty contractor in shotcrete placement serving all of California and expanding nationwide, delivering high-quality Shotcrete solutions for structural, architectural, and repair projects across Southern California. We are seeking a motivated Project Engineer (entry-level to junior) to support the successful planning, coordination, and execution of our shotcrete projects. In this role, you will gain hands-on experience in construction project management while working closely with estimators, project managers, and field teams. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or early-career professional to build a strong foundation in specialty concrete construction, with room for rapid growth in a collaborative, smaller-company environment. Office based in Newhall, CA, with field visits to active job sites throughout Southern California. Responsibilities Support project coordination, including submittals, RFIs, change orders, and documentation. Assist with project scheduling, resource tracking, and progress monitoring to help ensure projects stay on time and within budget. Review and interpret construction plans, specifications, and drawings; perform quantity takeoffs and support estimating efforts. Participate in field activities, including site visits, quality control inspections, and coordination with superintendents and crews on shotcrete placement, rebar installation, and safety compliance. Prepare and maintain project reports and correspondence for internal teams and clients. Collaborate with estimators, project managers, and subcontractors to resolve issues and drive project success. Learn and apply industry best practices for shotcrete, concrete, formwork, and safety standards (e.g., ACI guidelines). Help maintain accurate project records and contribute to continuous improvement of processes. Requirements A degree is preferred but not required, relevant experience will also be considered. 0-2 years of relevant experience (construction internships or entry-level roles preferred). Basic familiarity with construction plans, Excel, and common project management tools (Procore or Bluebeam experience is a plus). Valid driver's license and willingness to visit active construction sites. Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and eagerness to learn a specialized trade. Excellent communication and teamwork skills Knowledge of concrete, rebar, or shotcrete is a plus but not required — we will provide training. What We Offer Competitive starting salary of $70,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Comprehensive benefits package (health, dental, 401(k), PTO, etc.). Hands-on training in shotcrete technology and fast-track growth potential in project management and estimating. Collaborative team environment with direct exposure to leadership and diverse projects. If you are energetic, detail-oriented, and excited about building a career in specialty concrete construction, we want to hear from you! Join Nationwide Shotcrete and make a tangible impact on high-profile projects in Southern California.
