A significant portion of our portfolio is federal work — JOC and MACC contracts with NAVFAC and other military and government agencies. Our projects are complex, our standards are high, and our team is growing. We're looking for a Senior Project Engineer who doesn't just execute — they lead. Someone who manages workflow across the project portfolio, holds deadlines, and makes sure nothing falls through the cracks. What You'll Do Department Leadership Lead and oversee the Project Engineer department — setting standards, managing workload, and developing the team Track all work coming in and out of the PE department across the full project portfolio Manage and enforce deadlines for submittals, RFIs, closeouts, and all document deliverables Serve as the escalation point for document control issues across active projects Identify bottlenecks and proactively resolve workflow gaps before they impact the project team Federal & Commercial Project Execution Manage document control on JOC and MACC contracts — RFIs, submittals, change orders, modifications, claims, and correspondence — in full compliance with NAVFAC and federal contract requirements Understand and apply federal project delivery requirements including UFGS specifications, contract modifications, and agency-specific submittal processes Lead client interaction during preconstruction and project closeout phases on both federal and commercial projects Create and review preconstruction documentation packages; ensure submittals are prepared and submitted within required contract timelines Ensure project closeouts are completed and submitted within one week of final walkthrough; review warranty letters prior to President signature Maintain compliance with all internal, external, and federal record-keeping requirements Oversee subcontractor coordination and progress tracking across projects Conduct and supervise Quality Control / Quality Assurance checks throughout the project lifecycle in accordance with contract requirements Systems & Training Serve as the Paradigm expert in Egnyte — maintain filing standards and train field leads, SSHOs, and new employees on the program and filing system Train field supervisors on daily reports: where to find forms, how to complete and submit Drive continuous improvement in PE department processes, tools, and templates What We're Looking For 5+ years of experience in construction project engineering or project management Federal contracting experience required — JOC, MACC, IDIQ, or similar contract vehicles strongly preferred Familiarity with NAVFAC project delivery, UFGS specifications, and federal submittal and documentation requirements Understanding of government contract modifications, RFIs, and change order processes in a federal environment Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously Experience leading or mentoring a team Strong command of construction software and document control systems; Egnyte experience a plus Advanced Microsoft Word and Excel skills Exceptional organizational skills — you build systems, you don't just use them Strong written and verbal communication; confident in client-facing and agency-facing situations Self-directed, accountable, and solutions-oriented Ability to establish trust and credibility with project teams, clients, subcontractors, and government representatives Our Values — and Yours We don't just post values on a wall.
