Position Overview We are seeking a highly organized and detail oriented Project Engineer to support our Project Managers and field teams throughout all phases of construction. This is primarily an office based position focused on project administration, coordination, procurement, scheduling, budgeting, and subcontractor management. The Project Engineer serves as the operational backbone of the project team, ensuring that information is organized, deadlines are met, materials are procured on time, and project documentation is maintained accurately. This position offers an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to build a long term career in construction management and eventually grow into a Project Manager role. ResponsibilitiesProject Administration Prepare and manage subcontractor agreements Track subcontractor insurance, licensing, and compliance requirements Prepare purchase orders and vendor agreements Maintain project files and documentation Assist with contract administration and change orders Coordinate permits, inspections, and agency requirements Scheduling & Coordination Assist in developing and maintaining project schedules Track project milestones and critical deadlines Coordinate subcontractor activities and sequencing Monitor procurement schedules and lead times Help identify and resolve scheduling conflicts Budgeting & Financial Management Assist Project Managers with budgeting and cost tracking Maintain budget logs and cost reports Track subcontractor proposals and buyout packages Review invoices and assist with payment applications Support forecasting and project financial reporting Procurement & Materials Management Coordinate material purchasing and deliveries Track long lead items and procurement schedules Work with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery Assist with product selections and submittal management Maintain procurement logs and status reports Project Support Prepare meeting agendas and meeting notes Track RFIs, submittals, and project correspondence Assist with project closeout documentation Coordinate communication between clients, consultants, subcontractors, and project teams Support Project Managers with day to day project needs Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, Business, or related field preferred 1 to 5+ years of construction, engineering, architecture, or project coordination experience preferred Strong organizational and time management skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously Strong attention to detail Self motivated and proactive problem solver Technical Skills Preferred experience with: Microsoft Excel Google Workspace Microsoft Project or similar scheduling software Procore Bluebeam Construction budgeting and cost tracking systems What We Are Looking For The ideal candidate is someone who enjoys organization, systems, planning, and problem solving.
