Job Description
Building Engineer Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Building Engineer to join our facilities management team. In this role, you will oversee the maintenance, operation, and troubleshooting of building systems to ensure optimal performance, safety, and comfort within commercial properties. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical, electrical, and technical expertise. Building Engineer Responsibilities Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on HVAC systems, electrical panels, plumbing, and other building infrastructure. Coordinate subcontractors to ensure timely completion of repair projects. Maintain detailed records of work orders using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) for tracking and reporting purposes. Oversee facilities maintenance tasks including mechanical repairs, and system upgrades. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and building codes while performing all maintenance activities. Respond promptly to emergency situations or system failures to minimize downtime. Provide excellent customer service by addressing tenant or client concerns professionally and efficiently. Building Engineer Experience Proven experience in facilities maintenance or building engineering within residential, commercial, or manufacturing environments. Demonstrated experience managing vendors and subcontractors. Self-starter who takes ownership and follows through on tasks Mechanical knowledge with hands-on skills in welding, plumbing, HVAC systems, and general repairs.. Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and electrical diagrams accurately. Excellent communication skills in English for effective collaboration with team members and clients.
