Full Job Description Job Title:
Construction Project Engineer Job Summary The project engineer will play a vital role in the process of Araco's Projects. They shall directly support the project management team on various tasks and assignments. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented with a demonstrated ability to multitask and prioritize, as well as strong documentation, organization, and communication skills. The Project Engineer will also be responsible for processing, documenting, and dispersing accurate and reliable information for simultaneous projects. Key Responsibilities Assists the Project Managers in creating a strategic action plan and cost estimates of materials, time, labor, and other resources required to complete the project. Assists in reviewing ASI (Architectural Supplemental Information), RFI (Request for Information), and Plan Changes for cost impacts, with help from Estimators/Project Managers. Assists PM in calculating material quantities, such as concrete, rebar, and prepares change orders as needed. Download and create project Bluebeam & data folders with up-to-date blueprints, specifications, and related documents Updates all corresponding Project files with the most up-to-date information Clean up the cloud-based storage system and ensure active and archived files are distributed to the correct folders. Pulls Permits as needed & utilizes Colorado Locates whenever we plan to do re-work or excavate Organize and file awarded projects Provide clerical support and documentation of construction activities. Updating job file with change orders/ credits and other pertinent details. Request and Submit Submittals, MSDS, ETC. Oversee and schedule travel arrangements as needed (Lodging, Food, Itinerary, Training, ext.) Prepares periodic progress and cost reports for leadership. May travel to sites for new and in-progress projects as needed Performs other related duties as assigned. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. 2+ years of experience in construction project management or a similar role. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and Outlook) Experience reading and interpreting blueprints (Either in Class or Field Internship) Familiarity with construction terminology, practices, materials, means, methods, and techniques Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization, as well as with customers and vendors Capable of learning web-based project management and estimating software tools Adaptability and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Detail-oriented with the ability to efficiently analyze and organize information Sense of Urgency to meet deadlines and multitask in fast paced environment Problem Solving and Troubleshooting Commitment to professional integrity and ethical standards. Preferred Qualifications Experience with large-scale or commercial construction projects. Familiarity with ACI industry Standards Knowledge of local, state, and federal construction codes and regulations. Ability to speak, read and write in English & Spanish. Valid Colorado driver's license to drive to and from primary office and job sites, as necessary

Stationary Position:
Ability to remain in a seated or standing position for extended periods, often 50% or more of the time.
Manual Dexterity:
Constantly operating computers, keyboards, calculators, and other office equipment.
Mobility:
Occasional moving about inside the office to access files, machinery, or different departments.
Lifting/Carrying:
Frequently lifting or transporting files, documents, and office equipment weighing between 10 to 50 pounds.
Communication & Sensory:
Clear, audible speech for communication and the ability to hear, combined with specific, close-up vision.
Physical Movement:
Occasional bending, stooping, or reaching. The physical demands described are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Outdoor working conditions range from very cold to high temperatures, strong winds, flying dust, hazards, slippery conditions, and occasional exposure to loud noises from equipment and heavy machinery.
