Summer 2026 Structural Bridge Intern

The Opportunity Ulteig is seeking a talented and motivated Structural Bridge Engineer Intern to join our team for the upcoming summer. This internship offers the opportunity to gain hands-on experience supporting bridge design and inspection projects while working alongside experienced engineers in a collaborative environment. What You'll Do Support structural engineers in the analysis and design of bridge structures and related infrastructure Assist with preparing engineering calculations, drawings, and technical documentation Compile and organize project data to support design and inspection activities Contribute to bridge inspections and assist in drafting inspection reports Utilize engineering software and tools to support project deliverables Collaborate with team members to solve engineering challenges and meet project deadlines What You'll Gain Mentorship from seasoned professionals in the field of bridge structural engineering Practical experience in preparing structural designs and supporting bridge inspections and load-ratings Improved skills in technical writing and communication A greater understanding of how field conditions and findings influence engineering analysis and design outcomes Networking opportunities What We Expect from You Minimum of 2 years completed towards a bachelor's degree in civil engineering Previous internship experience preferred Proven experience in Microsoft Software Applications (Word, Excel, Power Point, Access), MicroStation preferred, additional software knowledge depending on specialization Willingness and ability to work full-time during Summer 2026 Must have authorization to work permanently in the U.S As you consider applying for a position at Ulteig, we encourage you to think outside the box - because we do!
