Minor & Company is an established engineering, surveying, planning and permitting, and environmental firm headquartered in Greenwich, Connecticut. With more than 100 years of continuous practice, we serve a sophisticated client base across residential, commercial, institutional, and mixed-use development projects throughout Fairfield County and beyond. We are seeking an Entry-Level Site/Civil Engineer to join our growing Greenwich office. This role is ideal for a recent graduate or early-career engineer who is looking to build a strong technical foundation in site/civil engineering, land development, stormwater design, permitting, and construction support. This position offers hands-on experience, direct mentorship, and meaningful project exposure within a highly regarded, growing firm. Position Overview The successful candidate will support the design, permitting, and execution of land development projects under the guidance of senior engineers and project managers. This role is structured to provide practical, real-world engineering experience while supporting long-term professional growth, technical development, and advancement toward licensure. Key Responsibilities Assist with site and civil engineering design from concept through construction Support preparation of engineering plans and calculations for site layout, grading, drainage, utilities, stormwater management, and erosion and sediment control Assist with permit applications and coordination with local, state, and regulatory agencies Help respond to municipal comments and prepare plan revisions Coordinate with internal survey, planning, and environmental teams Participate in site visits, field reviews, construction support, and project meetings as needed Learn and apply local land use, zoning, drainage, and environmental permitting requirements Support senior engineers and project managers with drafting, calculations, research, and project documentation Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field Engineer-in-Training certification preferred, or strong intent to pursue licensure Entry-level candidates and recent graduates are encouraged to apply Internship, co-op, or prior exposure to site/civil engineering, land development, surveying, or construction preferred Working knowledge of AutoCAD; Civil 3D experience preferred Exposure to HydroCAD or stormwater modeling is a plus Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and willingness to learn Reliable, organized, and proactive Interest in long-term professional growth within site/civil engineering and land development Work Environment Full-time position, Monday through Friday Primarily office-based with occasional field visits Occasional evening or weekend work may be required to meet deadlines or attend public meetings What We Offer Competitive entry-level compensation based on education, skills, and relevant experience Performance-based compensation growth tied to technical development, responsibility, and contribution Comprehensive benefits package Hands-on exposure to high-quality, technically complex projects Direct mentorship from senior engineers and firm leadership Support for professional development and progression toward EIT and PE licensure Clear advancement path toward project engineering, project management, and senior engineering roles Long-term stability within a century-old, growing firm with opportunities to work across multiple office locations
