  • $65,000 a year
  • Full-time $55,000
  • $65,000 a year
  • Full-time About All Electric All Electric Construction & Communication is a fast-growing electrical and solar contractor headquartered in Milford, CT.
We deliver commercial electrical, solar PV, and energy infrastructure projects across Connecticut and the surrounding region — from municipal and education solar arrays to complex commercial electrical builds. Our team is built around accountability, technical excellence, and a commitment to doing the job right the first time. The Role We're hiring a Project Engineer to be the operational engine behind our project delivery. You'll take projects from award through closeout — driving permits, design, engineering, material orders, submittals, interconnection, and final documentation — and hand off clean, construction-ready projects to our Project Managers. If you're organized, technically curious, and like owning the details that keep projects on schedule, this role is for you. What You'll Do Lead project kickoff: track permits, design, engineering, and material ordering from contract award through mobilization. Manage the handoff to Project Managers with a complete, organized package — drawings, permits, submittals, schedule, contacts, and open items.
Prepare and track submittals:
shop drawings, product data, manufacturer qualifications, and warranty documentation. Support system design for solar projects in Helioscope, SolarEdge Designer, and related tools — partnering with Sales on proposal-stage layouts and refining them into construction-ready documentation. Drive the utility interconnection process from application through PTO. Build project-specific safety plans aligned with our company-wide safety program and OSHA standards. Run project closeouts — as-builts, O&M manuals, warranties, lien waivers, final inspections. Maintain organized SOP folders and project files with clear, consistent labeling from day one. What You Bring 2+ years in a project engineer, project coordinator, or assistant PM role — electrical, solar, or commercial construction. Working knowledge of permitting, utility interconnection, and submittal processes. Strong organizational chops — you can juggle multiple projects without dropping the ball. Proficiency with Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Excel, Teams) and project management software (Smartsheet a plus). Clear, professional written and verbal communication with customers, AHJs, utilities, and field crews. Nice to Have Experience with Helioscope, SolarEdge Designer, AutoCAD, or Bluebeam. Familiarity with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and Connecticut permitting jurisdictions. OSHA 30 certification. Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field. What We Offer Competitive salary based on experience. Health, dental, and vision insurance. Paid time off and holidays. 401(k) with company match. Career growth in a fast-scaling company — we've grown from $10M to $55M in revenue and we're not slowing down. Direct exposure to senior leadership and the full project lifecycle.
