We are seeking a Bridge Design Engineer with 5-15 years of experience to join our growing team in Shelton, CT. This role offers the opportunity to work on a variety of transportation infrastructure projects, including the design and rehabilitation of bridges for state and local agencies. Responsibilities:
Perform structural analysis and design for bridge and transportation structures Prepare preliminary and final design plans, calculations, and specifications Develop cost estimates and assist with contract document preparation Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and support project delivery Participate in client meetings and support project communication Conduct site visits and inspections as needed Ensure designs meet applicable codes and standards (AASHTO, CTDOT guidelines) Ability to work independently
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering 5-15 years of bridge/structural design experience Professional Engineer (PE) license in CT (or ability to obtain) preferred Experience preparing bridge design plans and calculations Familiarity with AASHTO and state CTDOT standards Experience with structural analysis and design software Strong communication and organizational skills Load Ratings Experience a plus New Jersey PE license a plus
