This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated engineer who enjoys a balance of technical design, permitting coordination, problem-solving, and collaboration across multidisciplinary projects. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, technically strong, and eager to contribute to commercial, industrial, institutional, energy, and public infrastructure projects throughout the Northeast. What You'll Do Prepare site layout, grading, drainage, utility, and erosion & sediment control plans for land development projects Design post-construction stormwater management systems and supporting calculations Utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D to develop alignments, surfaces, profiles, pipe networks, and earthwork models Assist with municipal land use approvals, permitting applications, and regulatory coordination Research local zoning, land development, and permitting requirements Coordinate with internal engineering, survey, environmental, landscape architecture, and permitting teams across multiple offices Prepare technical reports, calculations, exhibits, and permit documentation Support construction administration activities, including permit modifications and field coordination as needed Collaborate with senior staff, project managers, and clients throughout project execution Support multidisciplinary teams by identifying design challenges, permitting constraints, and practical project solutions What You'll Bring Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering (BSCE) 3-5 years of experience in land development and/or utility design Strong proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D Experience with grading, drainage, stormwater management, and erosion & sediment control design Familiarity with municipal permitting and regulatory approval processes Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to manage multiple assignments and work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment Preferred Qualifications Engineer in Training (EIT) certification PE licensure or progress toward licensure Experience coordinating with local municipalities and regulatory agencies Familiarity with hydrology/hydraulic modeling and stormwater permitting requirements Why Join Solli Engineering?
