Bechtol operates an in-house FDOT/CMEC-certified laboratory that works closely with our team of 25+ trained and certified managers/technicians in order to provide comprehensive testing services for any construction site. In this role, you will have the opportunity to collaborate directly with our field/lab team and clients, prepare project proposals and technical reports, and oversee quality control testing to support successful project outcomes. The position offers a balanced blend of laboratory, office, and field work, providing excellent variety and flexibility.

Retirement Account with Company Match Company Truck Health, Dental, Vision Insurance 2 weeks vacation and PTO Professional development assistance (PE license and continuing education) Essential Duties And Responsibilities Oversee and conduct field / laboratory tests on construction materials (asphalt, concrete, soil and steel) Analyze test results to ensure materials comply with project specifications, industry standards (ASTM, AASHTO), and regulatory requirements. Liaise with Engineers, contractors, construction teams, and project managers to ensure timely completion of testing and inspection. Prepare proposals, reports, and data analysis for clients, ensuring clarity and accuracy. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, or a related field. EI license is required. Proficiency in materials testing methods and standards is preferred (e.g., ASTM, AASHTO, DOT). Knowledge of laboratory testing equipment for soil compaction, concrete strength, etc. Project management and organizational skills.
