Project Engineer Luckey's Management Fort Lauderdale, FL Job Details Full-time 4 hours ago Benefits Health insurance Dental insurance Paid time off Vision insurance Qualifications Project engineering Microsoft Excel Schedule management Driver's License Construction administrative experience Construction workplace safety regulations Full Job Description Construction Project Engineer Luckey's Construction, located in Fort Lauderdale, FL, is seeking an experienced Project Engineer for the construction of ground-up hotel projects in Broward County. Salary is commensurate with experience, and the position includes a competitive benefits package. Responsibilities and Duties
  • Prepare subcontractor bid comparisons and perform detailed material take-offs across all trades.
  • Manage RFI and submittal logs; review and coordinate submittals and transmittals for all engineering disciplines.
  • Coordinate and track permitting activities for construction and project-related work.
  • Review subcontractor payment requisitions for accuracy and compliance with contract documents.
  • Conduct regular site walks; document field conditions, open items, and punch list observations.
  • Assist in developing and maintaining construction schedules; monitor progress against milestones.
  • Attend and document OAC meetings, subcontractor meetings, and owner coordination calls; prepare and distribute meeting minutes.
  • Maintain OSHA material safety data sheets and required on-site signage.
  • Support project administration including cost coding, document control, and reporting in RedTeam.
  • Coordinate with the architect, engineers, and city officials on design clarifications and inspection requirements. Be a team member Qualifications and Skills
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or construction management, preferred but not required.
  • 2+ years of proven experience in construction management or project management within the construction industry.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Must work well with all other employees, vendors, subcontractors, etc.
  • Must be able to accurately review and detail plan take-off for material acquisitions
  • Effective planner and well organized. Understand construction sequencing and durations to schedule on site activities.
  • Thorough knowledge of legal issues and safety standards is essential
  • Punctuality and a winning attitude.
  • Proficient with Bluebeam Revu Software.
  • Excellent blueprint reading skills with an ability to interpret complex schematics.
  • Microsoft Office (Word, Excel), Microsoft Project and RedTeam (preferred but not required)
  • Reading and understanding of contract documents, specifications, and plans.
  • Have a Florida driver's license and ability to commute.
