Job Description
- Prepare subcontractor bid comparisons and perform detailed material take-offs across all trades.
- Manage RFI and submittal logs; review and coordinate submittals and transmittals for all engineering disciplines.
- Coordinate and track permitting activities for construction and project-related work.
- Review subcontractor payment requisitions for accuracy and compliance with contract documents.
- Conduct regular site walks; document field conditions, open items, and punch list observations.
- Assist in developing and maintaining construction schedules; monitor progress against milestones.
- Attend and document OAC meetings, subcontractor meetings, and owner coordination calls; prepare and distribute meeting minutes.
- Maintain OSHA material safety data sheets and required on-site signage.
- Support project administration including cost coding, document control, and reporting in RedTeam.
- Coordinate with the architect, engineers, and city officials on design clarifications and inspection requirements. Be a team member Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or construction management, preferred but not required.
- 2+ years of proven experience in construction management or project management within the construction industry.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Must work well with all other employees, vendors, subcontractors, etc.
- Must be able to accurately review and detail plan take-off for material acquisitions
- Effective planner and well organized. Understand construction sequencing and durations to schedule on site activities.
- Thorough knowledge of legal issues and safety standards is essential
- Punctuality and a winning attitude.
- Proficient with Bluebeam Revu Software.
- Excellent blueprint reading skills with an ability to interpret complex schematics.
- Microsoft Office (Word, Excel), Microsoft Project and RedTeam (preferred but not required)
- Reading and understanding of contract documents, specifications, and plans.
- Have a Florida driver's license and ability to commute.
