Position Overview LB Engineering is seeking a Structural Engineer who is a currently licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in the State of Florida. Engineers at all experience levels are encouraged to apply, from newly licensed PEs to seasoned project leaders. This position is 100% in-office at our Fort Myers location and reports directly to the Vice President. Candidates must be local to the Fort Myers area or willing to relocate. You will be joining and helping shape a rapidly growing company. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who meets deadlines, manages multiple projects, and grows into increasing responsibility over time. Responsibilities (scaled to experience level) Design and analyze structures across a wide range of project types, including single-family residential, multifamily, high-rise buildings, schools, hospitals, jails, apartment buildings, and other commercial and institutional projects Prepare structural calculations, drawings, and construction documents Lead projects independently or with senior support, depending on experience Serve as Engineer of Record and sign and seal deliverables, with responsibility scaled to experience level Coordinate with architects, contractors, owners, and internal teams Participate in client, architect, and contractor calls and represent the firm professionally Perform quality control and follow internal design standards Maintain awareness of project scope, schedules, and budgets, and escalate issues as needed For experienced candidates: provide redlines and technical direction, and mentor drafters, EITs, and junior engineers Ensure compliance with the Florida Building Code and applicable standards Requirements Active Professional Engineer (PE) license in the State of Florida Structural engineering experience (any level considered) Located in or willing to relocate to the Fort Myers area Ability and willingness to work 100% in-office Clear communication with clients, consultants, and internal teams Organized, detail-oriented, and accountable Self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment This Role Is Not remote or hybrid Open to all experience levels, from newly licensed PEs to senior engineers Compensation and Growth Competitive compensation based on experience Opportunity for long-term growth and leadership responsibility within a rapidly growing company Stable workload across diverse project types
