ICOP About the Role ICOP is searching for a results-driven and experienced Regional Civil Engineering Manager with a strong background in geotechnical engineering, team leadership, and project delivery. The manager will oversee a regional team responsible for the design, estimating, and execution of projects including support of excavation, ground improvement, and foundation work. This role involves project strategy, team leadership, technical oversight, and collaboration with operations and sales teams to deliver high-quality solutions. Key Responsibilities Lead, manage, and mentor the regional civil engineering team to achieve project goals and support professional development. Oversee the engineering workload, delegate tasks, and ensure timely and high-quality project deliverables. Perform and review technical designs and calculations for support of excavation, ground improvement, and foundation systems. Review and validate engineering drawings, calculations, and final design packages for accuracy and compliance. Conduct field observations and provide technical assistance during construction as needed. Develop and review preliminary designs for bidding and provide input during pre-construction to optimize value engineering. Provide technical guidance, solve complex engineering challenges, and ensure adherence to industry standards and company policies. Collaborate cross-functionally with other departments, clients, consultants, and external partners to drive project success. Implement best practices for safety, quality, and risk management throughout the project lifecycle. Report on project status, risks, and opportunities to regional leadership. Required Skills and Competencies Advanced knowledge of civil and geotechnical engineering principles, soil mechanics, and construction practices. Proven leadership and team management abilities within a civil/geotechnical engineering environment. Excellent project management, time management, and organizational skills. Exceptional verbal and written communication, technical writing, and interpersonal skills. Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, clients, and stakeholders. Detail-oriented, proactive, and able to balance technical and managerial responsibilities. Proficient in industry-standard engineering and design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D, PLAXIS, etc.). Strong commitment to workplace safety and continuous improvement. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field; focus on geotechnical engineering required. Master's degree preferred. Active Professional Engineer (PE) license. Minimum 7 years of relevant engineering experience in support of excavation, ground improvement, or geotechnical design. Demonstrated experience managing engineering teams and complex projects. Preferred Qualifications Master's degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering. Advanced proficiency in Spanish (not required, but highly beneficial). Experience with large-scale commercial construction or infrastructure projects. Active participation in professional organizations (e.g., ASCE, DFI). Knowledge of advanced risk management practices and current industry trends. Why Join Us?
