Full-Time | Onsite Are you a recent graduate eager to launch your career in the utility and power distribution sector? PTS Advance is hiring an Entry-Level Distribution Designer/Engineer to join our growing team in Tampa, FL ! This is a full-time, onsite position offering hands-on training, mentorship, and the opportunity to work on meaningful infrastructure projects that help power communities.

What You'll Do:

Assist in the design of overhead and underground power distribution systems for local tampa clients. (typically 4kV-35kV). Prepare construction drawings and permit packages using AutoCAD, GIS, and utility-specific software. Support field walkdowns and site evaluations when needed. Interpret and apply utility design standards and local codes. Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and utility clients.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Engineering Technology, or related field. Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills. Eagerness to learn utility distribution design standards and industry tools. Familiarity with AutoCAD, GIS, or similar drafting/design software (coursework or internship experience is great). Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.

Preferred But Not Required:

Internship or co-op experience in power systems or infrastructure design. Knowledge of NESC standards or experience with utility permitting. Exposure to distribution design tools or GIS platforms.
